We will during the course of offering and delivering our services be
gathering, storing and processing certain information about you and/or
your business. We take your privacy issues very seriously and will in
no way act, or attempt to act, in any way that may jeopardize the secrecy
of your private information. We have therefore instituted an office of
privacy in strict accordance with the Norwegian
Data Protection Agency and approved by them in accordance with applicable
national and international rules and regulations. The approval by the
Norwegian Data Protection Agency gives us the right to use the logo of
the Privacy Ombudsman on our website.

Data Inspectorates Privacy Ombudsman is responsible for all aspects
of data protection. The role of the Privacy Ombudsman is to monitor,

addition, the Privacy Ombudsman is responsible for writing guidelines
and control routines for gathering, processing and storing personal information.

new services to Luup or incorporate suggestions from our users. We will

amendments made will be effective 14 (fourteen) days after posting on our

3. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT
For the purpose of registering a Luup account you will have to provide
us certain information like your mobile phone number, your e-mail address,
name, username, answer some questions, and choose a password. If you want
to fund your Luup account or withdraw funds you need to register a credit
or debit card and bank account, and provide us with your card and banking
details.
For the purpose of verifying that you are who you claim to be and to comply
with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing we will conduct
various checks on the information you have provided to us. We might also
gather additional information about you in order to verify the information
you have provided. In some instances we will do the check ourselves and
in other instances we may elicit the help of an outside third party to
do the check. Such outside third party may be card authorization and fraud
screening partners.
If youre a merchant we will do a thorough background check with Companies
House and in some instances with other third parties such as CreditSafe
for credit reports. We may also ask you for certified copies of ID.
If you should want to contact us through our customer support centre we
may store your enquiries and the answer we provide for reporting purposes.
Our reports will only be used internally in order to improve our service.
WE ASK THAT YOU NEVER GIVE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, USERNAME, PASSWORD, PIN,
CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION, BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION OR Luup ACCOUNT
INFORMATION TO ANYONE INCLUDING OUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT (EXCEPT WHEN YOU REGISTER).
In order to conduct a transaction you will need to supply your mobile telephone
number, and/or your user name, and/or your payment reference number to
the recipient. Your personal information will be stored at the recipients
personal page on his/her secure page on www.luup.com the same way as your
bank account statement will list all transactions going into your bank
account and out from it.
Your transaction data will be stored for a minimum of 5 (five) years to
comply with rules and obligations applicable to us.
4. WHAT DO WE USE THE INFORMATION FOR
There are several reasons for why we collect, process and store your personal
information. Some of the information we need in order to give you a Luup
account when you register for one. Others we need in order to do an identity
check on you to comply with applicable rules and regulation. We will use
your personal information for the following purposes:
a) To complete your registration and adding of funding source;
b) To conduct background check and ID verification;
c) To make statistics and reports for internal use in order to improve
our service, improve our product and for marketing purposes;
d) For transactional purposes; and
e) To combat money laundering, fraud and terrorist financing;

We will not disclose your information to any outside third party except
in the circumstances mentioned below:
a) In cases of fraud, money laundering, financing of terrorist activities
or other criminal acts, or if we have grounds to believe such criminal
activities is taking place, we will notify the Authorities and hand over
any relevant information they might require. We might also use third parties
to conduct checks to see whether such criminal activities are taking place;
b) If requested so by a competent Court of Law or Government bodies;
c) If we are merged or acquired by another company. If this happens, the

to help coordinate the services we provide to you, enforce our terms and

Depending on our business partners we might transfer, store and
